Account Statistics
WestHost provides detailed statistical analysis of all aspects of your account.
| Disk Space and Bandwidth Usage |
 |
Real-time Disk Space and Bandwidth Usage (and Quota) statistics are available immediately upon logging into your Site Manager (control panel). Once you have logged in to your Site Manager, you will see a chart for representing each (see Figure 1). This information is helpful in determining your present and future resource needs.
NOTE: The Bandwidth Usage chart is updated at the end of each calendar month. For historical data, please refer to the Bandwidth section of Site Details (also within Site Manager) (see Figure 2>).
| Individual User Usage |
 |
If you have set up e-mail or FTP user accounts, you can view the amount of your space being used by their e-mails and files they have uploaded via FTP. This information is helpful in determining how much of your account disk space is being taken up by your Users. Also found within Site Manager, refer to the User Usage Stats section of Site Details for a chart representing usage for all your users (see Figure 3).
Note: If you have set up Anonymous FTP, a new row reflecting its usage will be displayed on this usage chart.
| Website Statistics |
 |
Every WestHost account comes with a graphical web statistic application. With this program you will be able to better monitor and track visitors to your site, where they are coming from, which pages get the most traffic, and much more. AWStats can be automatically installed from within your control panel (Site Manager). Once logged in, go to Site Applications > Statistics.
Web statistic applications work by analyzing your Raw Logs and producing graphical reports. Your Access Logs and Error Logs are both found in the directory /www/logs. You can download this file and open it in any word processor.
Note: If you would prefer to install your own statistical tracking software, you are welcome to do so, although we cannot provide support for it.
